HDD Read Channel Architect-Shanghai
Job Description
- We are looking for an engineer with a track record of excellent performance to join our read channel architecture team. In this role you would be part of a dedicated team developing LSI's leading hard disk drive ASIC technology. - This job spans the invention process from the conception of a new idea, through reduction to practice in software, close collaboration with design teams and verification of the design through to validation of performance through bench testing. In your role you will with work closely with Design and Verification teams in Shanghai and with the RC Architecture team in the United States. - Our core requirements are a deep knowledge of digital communications technology; familiarity with detection and coding for magnetic recording; some experience implementing signal processing and detection algorithms in software and good programming skills in C/C++ and scripting languages. Experience with design verification and bench testing would both be very desirable. Requirements/Qualifications (Education) - PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Senior Custom Design Engineer -Shanghai Job Description - Candidates for this position should have experience in the design and design management of large, high-speed, mixed signal ICs. - The designs must have contained a variety of both hard and soft-macro IP blocks. - The candidate should be an expert in
all parts of the full-custom digital IC design flow from DSP algorithm or datapath architecture optimization for digital full custom design, to transistor level schematics design and optimization, SPICE simulation, DFT and test insertion, floorplanning, layout, circuit characterization, timing closure, signal integrity, power analysis and verification.
Requirements/Qualifications (Education) - The candidate should have 3+ years of design experience. Full custom digital design experience on DSP algorithm based datapath with CMOS, Domino Logic, and/or CPL, is preferred. MSEE or PhD required.

Duties will include functional verification of Storage read channel mixed-signal IP. Set up bench test equipment and perform characterization measurements on high speed(>4GHz) mixed signal IC's, paying careful attention to measurement accuracy and repeatability and test condition coverage -

JOB DESCRIPTION In this position, you will be working in IT department in an international corporate as a Unix system administrator and EDA tools support expert. The ideal candidate needs to follow IC design customers work, familiar with the simulation jobs feature, trouble shoot the problems from Cad Tools and ICDS environment. Candidates must have a deep understanding of EDA tools and applications, be clear on the flow of IC design work and the requirement for IT engineering infrustructure in each phase. As a Unix administrator, you will handle day to day support on enterprise NIS/LDAP environment, managing compute farms of ~100 Linux servers, support NFS/CIFS applications on NAS/SAN storage, perform backup and restore activities.
