This position is responsible for managing and leading a team of engineers to provide silicon validation for both Set-Top-Box and TV SoC and Discrete chips.

·         Lead a team to provide system implementation. The team provides Platform schematic, Printed-Circuit-Board (PCB) layout, platform production and debugging.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the leader of CPD System Validation team, you can look forward to:

Develop a Feature Test Plan (FTP) to validate the functionalities of a communications product,

Develop the test strategy and implementation (hardware and software) for the execution of the FTP,

Write as well review the creation of comprehensive engineering documentation,

Participate in the specification of features and architecture of hardware and firmware components for new products,

Be technically responsible for the day to day activities of the testing of a communications product including interactions with internal groups and customers,

Utilize defect tracking tools to report on validation progress and product quality.

Job Qualifications:

Requirements:

Master or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

5+ years work experience in development or validation/testing of telecom systems or chips

Detailed working knowledge of board-level hardware design and implementation

Strong problem solving and hands-on debugging skills

Solid understanding of communications protocols (Ethernet, OTN, SONET/SDH, PDH, ATM)

Experience with communications testing equipment such as ANT-20/OmniBER, and SmartBits.

Responsibilities:
As the technical support lead, ensure successful integration of ABC company WLAN products into handsets, consumer electronics, and mobile terminals. This role establishes the person as the technical expert for the ABC company WLAN product line. Must have high technical competence and be able to provide in-depth technical responses to customers and to the company's field application engineers during the pre-sales process. Once engaged with a customer, must be able to map out the technical details of a system integration plan, from project start through mass production. Will work closely with ABC company development engineers, program management team, software application engineers, and FAEs.

EDUCATION:
BSEE minimum, MSEE preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience in board level RF/baseband/digital circuit design related to WLAN technology. Must have good lab skills using various instruments, such as spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, VSA, and scopes.
2+ years of hardware applications engineering experience, including managing customer issues, technical design support, document/information release process.
Prior system integration experience with WLAN products is required and knowledge in 802.11 is helpful.
Must be able to proactively anticipate customer design issues and author white papers and application notes that address those issues.
Must possess ability to perform failure analysis, work with customers on identifying design/manufacturing/ATE related issues.
Must possess superior problem solving and board-level debug capabilities.

Job Description

Your role will support the RF test and Application of advanced wireless SOC products at the board level. The work will include RF test, RF application, significant automatic test (ATE) development, and offers an excellent opportunity to work with sophisticated SOC designs.  You will be working closely with a team of Systems engineers, RFIC designers, ASIC engineers, and marketing personnel. Versatility is essential.

·Perform the RF test actions, such as RFIC test, RF system test and Platform test;
