Technical Program Manager - VLSI
Responsibilities
As a Technical Program Manager in VLSI team, you will own a program execution from kick off to mass production (pre-silicon and post-silicon).
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive program (full life) schedule for complex SoC
• Track and maintain visibility of the execution status at all times
• Define and maintain program communication channels to ensure alignment of the team and stakeholders
• Work with engineering managers, sales/marketing/support teams to meet key metrics - quality, schedule, performance, etc
• Monitor program risks and issues. Proactively mitigate/resolve them to keep the program quality and schedule
• Drive tasks in critical path, identifies risk and opportunities, and create new processes
• Ensure that program experience is recorded in knowledge management to improve the future program performance
Qualifications
• A successful candidate requires a good combination of three basic factors (technical, leadership and communications) and has a strong design & debug background including Project Management of VLSI team working on multiple programs
• Technical domain expertise in all aspects of VLSI development cycle is required
• BSEE with focus in VLSI/wireless communications, or BSCS; MSEE preferred
• Prior experience in ASIC/SoC/RF/Mobile/PMU IC project/program management (pre-silicon and post-silicon) of at least 3 years required
• Hands-on experience in ASIC/SoC/RF/Mobile IC development cycle from marketing requirements up to mass production for about 5 years, such as digital/analog/RF/Mobile design or SW/FW development, emulation / FPGA prototyping, SQA, silicon functional bring up, HW/system electrical characteristics, corner characteristics, qualifications (ESD/LU, HTOL, package qual), power/yield analysis and improvement, RMA.
• Great leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin, clear and concise communication on different levels across organization
• Attention to detail and execution discipline
• Fluency with planning/tracking and presentation tools (e.g. MS Project, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of bug-tracking systems (e.g. Jira)
• PMP Certified is a strong plus
