Youwill be part of RTG (Radeon Technologies Group) SW Customer Engineeringteam to fix problems from OEM/ODM customers and ensure the quality of softwaredeliverables on-time to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with global Customer Engineering teams toreproduce, triage and debug graphics software related problems.
• Support backend SW development teams on regression andexperimental testing to narrow down the problem.
• Efficiently use SW debug tools e.g. windbg, Visual Studio andother advanced debugging techniques to help with troubleshooting and facilitatequicker turnaround time on the issue resolution.
• Shadow experts and maintain domain expertise by working closelywith them on specific projects and participating in trainings, etc.
• Coordinate closely with peers both locally and internationallyto ensure timely and effective software debugging support to customer issues.Have a strong emphasis on meeting customer requirements regarding features andschedules.
• On-site support to speed up closure of low fail rate issues orplatform specific issues.
• Join conference calls with customers to update debug progressfor critical issues and give technical explanation on root cause and solution.
• The job expects 10% travel time domestically or internationally.
Requirement:
• MS+ degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent.
• Experience in software debugging on Windows operating system andfamiliar with kernel debug tools such as windbg.
• Programming device drivers under Windows or Linux environment.
• Minimum industry experience (Master: 2+ yrs; PhD: 1+ yr).
• C/C++ programming (2+ yrs). Object-oriented design andprogramming (2+ yrs).
• A self-motivated team player.
• Good communication skill and able to work with stakeholderseffectively.
• Knowledge of Graphics,Display and Multimedia technologies is a plus.
