hi,
I want to design a variable frequency driver for 1.5 hp induction motor. I want to implement the design using micro controllers.
I need suggestion for design.

Can any bone suggest books for motor drives. Is there any software for the simulation of VFD ? i have found psim will it work?

I guess there are lots of motor driver off the shelf. Please refer to the Arduino motor driver circuit which is programmable by C and it works good.
