18. Product Engineering Manager
Job Description
Product Engineering Manager. Hand-on experienced leader to drive improved performance and execution across all LSI silicon products. Willing to work with extended international teams across multiple time-zones and business units supporting product design, marketing, sales, operations, quality and finance through interactions during product development and high volume manufacturing. Good English skills are required. A BS in EE is preferred with at least 5 years of hands on product engineering experience. A background in silicon wafer process or test development is also a bonus. Must also have the ability to bring junior engineers up to speed in addition to having the capability to independently make decisions at a high level. SSD Flash Controller product development. Duties will include:
- Working with a Verification Team to develop reusable block and system level verification environment using high level verification language to support ASIC development.

6. Storage and Backup Administrator
Job Description
LSI Corporation currently has an opening for a Storage & Backup Administrator. The Storage & Backup Administrator is responsible for operational management of all storage and backup technologies both locally and globally as this position is part of a global team. This technology includes the various NAS environments (NetApps 6240/6280, ONStor), Storage Area Networks – SAN (Brocade), Block Level Storage (EMC VNX), DAS environments and all other technologies classified as a storage technology. Data protection is an important part of this job function so having a good understand and knowledge about this area is a big part of this job. Having a good understanding of the different RAID levels, poses industry knowledge on the best practices around storage configuration and allocation.
The responsibilities will include new product testing and evaluation as it relates to these technologies, managing and maintaining the company's storage-based and backup systems and the deployment of these technologies. They will also be an escalation point for the company for operation issues in this area. In addition, they will be responsible for understanding business objectives and seeking ways to help the company meet these goals with storage and backup technology solutions. Storage Administrators will be required to prepare business documents such as Business Cases, RFPs and RFIs, Decision Matrices and Cost Analyses as they relate to storage-based technology.
Disaster Recovery and Backups are one of the most important aspect of this position, knowing and understanding backups and DR best practices is critical in protecting LSI valuable intellectually property.
Must have an in-depth working knowledge of Unix and Linux and be comfortable with the operating systems.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES IN ADDITION TO THOSE IN JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a member of the Read Channel team, candidate must be willing to work as an extended
member of the design team. Duties will include functional verification of Storage read
channel mixed-signal IP. Candidate will be expected to contribute to design and development
of System Verilog based verification environment and will be responsible for verification
closure of block/chip/system level functions for mixed signal based IP. Experience with
System Verilog and functional coverage methodologies are required. Must be willing to
follow a disciplined verification methodology and to work closely with a multi-location,
international design team. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
BSEE with 3-5+ years of design and/or verification experience required, MSEE preferred.

8. WebCloud Account Sales
Job Description
- This Account manager role is responsible for LSI’s storage business (ASD/RSD) for tier-1 WebCloud customers in North or East China region. It required knowledge and expertise in SSD/Flash, SAS/SATA, RAID, x86 Server, storage, database, distributed application areas for selling LSI’s Flash and SAS storage solution to those tier-1 WebCloud customers like Tencent, Alibaba and Baidu. This role also required strong background and understanding in MDC (Mega Data center) server storage architecture, the key needs and trends in storage area for MDC, and also how to apply flash technologies into MDC to accelerate the storage performance. For all assigned customers and projects, this role is responsible for identifying new business opportunity, arrange the pre-sale supports, close the design win, drive the customer satisfactory, manage the customer relationship and eventually drive and grow the overall LSI sales revenue from the account. This role also needs to define sales plan, provide regular business updates/design win updates and revenue forecast, work with LSI product team and all functional team, to take the lead and be accountable in archiving design win target and sale revenue quota. This role required strong English communication capability, in both written and speak, to support the daily work with support team and product team. Other than to drive the direct sale with tier-1 WebCloud customers, this account manager role also need to build up the relationship and engagement model, to influence customer’s preference in storage technologies, partner with LSI’s OEMs to grow the business size, identify new business opportunity for LSI’s Flash/SAS storage solution
